There was at least a compelling argument for starting Mathews, not sure anyone can make a same compelling argument for using a top bullpen arm in Pancer up 11 with 6 outs to go...

I think the argument is that Esquer doesn’t consider Pancer to be a top bullpen arm at the moment. He was also the only borderline “top arm” that Esquer used in the Oregon game which led me to this conclusion.

Indeed. My guess is that our first guy out of the bullpen tomorrow - assuming it's a close game - will be Dowd. Then, to Bruno in the 9th assuming it's still a close one.
