It made no sense whatsoever. You an always bring Bruno in if Dowd gets in trouble in the the 9th. That decision cost us the game and I see no basis unless you are following some theory that says always bring your closer in when ahead ahead going into the 9th. Dumb! Sometimes you have to let the players play the game when they are doing well.
add - what is going on with the outfield? An almost collision in the early innings, then another in the 9th. I thought someone had responsibility for calling those kinds of plays.
