i understand STS (or is it STC now?) is popular among athletes because it's flexible, so you can find courses that fit your schedule. Not because it's an easy major. Well, maybe it could be relatively easy for Stanford depending on exactly what courses you pick.

Science to me is Chem, Physics, Biology, etc

Tech to me is actual engineering aka Comp Sci, Mechanical Engineering, BioEngineering, Electrical Engineering, Aero Engineering, etc

To satisfy your "Science and Engineering"requirement, you can take Ethics in Bio Engineering or Global Warming or Airpollution History or Environmental Journalism.  Where is Multivariable calculus, Linear Algebra, Organic Chemistry, Circuits etc etc?

STS offers both BS and BA degrees. For BS degrees, students must include "courses involving lab work, engineering problems, coding, or other technical work in science, technology, or medicine."
