156 pitches.  Why is it that you don’t see professional pitchers throw anywhere near that many pitches?  Because they are valuable assets.  With agents. 

I remember Bochy sweating  out letting Lincecum throw about 135. And he left him in only cause he was  pitching a no-hitter. 


I’d like to see the NCAA impose pitch  limits.  College managers too often fail to protect young arms.  

As for the Texas “fans”.  Those that (allegedly, I didn’t see the game) chanted “Tommy John” should have been thrown out.  No place for that.
