The ball Rios hit went behind that cord, which is pretty high up on the foul pole. I thought the ball changed direction after going over that cord and thought the replay view would show it was a HR.
As for the ending, it kind of makes up for the absurd 5 run 9th Texas had in Game 1. But man, I really felt bad for those Longhorns who couldn’t find the ball.
Yep. We literally gave them game 1 in the 9th. They gave us game 3 in the 9th. We won an epic game 2. No regrets at all. Stanford is not a dominant team and has some real issues with pitching and base running but Stanford won this series and deserves to move on.
