Hopefully the Bruno resets and he gets to showcase his talent. The bats need to wake up. Dixon and Mathews need to continue to pitch excellent like they did this weekend.

No more silly errors.

But we have one brobdingnagian advantage. The baseball deities love our team. But they love it in ways that drive the fans nuts. Never have I seen a team do so well while making so many bonehead mistakes. I have all the reservations in place for Omaha but I might not go. The way these guys play makes me nuts. Also a recent wrist injury may be a problem.

I went last year and I don't want to be disappointed like that again. 0-2 and they really didn't put up much of a fight. Terrible in all aspects of the game. If they can make it past Wake Forest and win their bracket, then of course they can win the whole thing, and I be willing to pay a ton for next day airfare and hotel But that's a big "if". Plus, Omaha in the summer is, well, not California.

Why do you hate 85 F, 65% humidity, and the constant threat of (a) being struck by lightning or (b) being sucked up in a funnel cloud and transported to Oz?

What is that cord that goes around the outfield? And how is it allowed to be over the field?

The ball Rios hit went behind that cord, which is pretty high up on the foul pole. I thought the ball changed direction after going over that cord and thought the replay view would show it was a HR.

As for the ending, it kind of makes up for the absurd 5 run 9th Texas had in Game 1. But man, I really felt bad for those Longhorns who couldn’t find the ball.

Yep.  We literally gave them game 1 in the 9th.  They gave us game 3 in the 9th.  We won an epic game 2.  No regrets at all.  Stanford is not a dominant team and has some real issues with pitching and base running but Stanford won this series and deserves to move on.
