We would have challenged if either Campbell or the coach thought the tag was late.

It was probably pure frustration by the coach at such a precise throw to gun down a fast runner. You just gotta to your cap to the player for such an amazing play.

Never make the last out of an inning at 3rd base is the #1 unwritten rule of baseball. Sure, you can score on a wild pitch or infield hit from 3rd, but those odds are not much greater than being thrown out at 3rd. The reward isn't worth the risk, IMO.
