Go Florida State!  Not a fan of how the Sooners conduct themselves.  They celebrate every good play like they just won the World Series and are very in-your-face about it.  It's basically taunting.  Case in point, when Coleman got intentionally walked in the 9th inning she slammed down her bat and started gesticulating wildly like she had just hit a home run or something.  I've noticed similar behavior from them in prior years.  They seem to lack a little something called class!

Sounds like a cult to me.

Cult? Nah. The accusation of "cult" sounds like the perspective of someone who has not been around religious people much! These girls are just religious; I am fully aware that there are lots of brands of religion, and this is theirs. So what? Sounds like they've found some sort of meaning and peace in their lives. In fact, I'd love it if my kids had a perspective (of whatever kind) beyond immediate circumstances like wins and losses, clicks and likes, paycheck or promotion. I was actually impressed with how well-spoken those girls were, and how they carried themselves with reporters.

I was, however, not impressed with the level and nature of celebration during games for things that seem sort of ordinary.

Very well said. Based on the clip , these are impressive women…their God may not be Exactly my God  but their willingness to focus on their faith without trying to tell me how to live is admirable and impressive. The celebrating does seem a bit corny but as I understand it, the celebrations are for them and aimed at their dugout, not aimed at the other team. I think it is a way to focus on doing every little thing well, step by step, rather than getting caught up in ‘another ‘ national championship. Whatever it is, it works.
