Yeah, but that's a big part of my point. Stanford needs to move forward based on what is and what will be, not on what was or on what a small group of fans wish were true.

I.e.:
 - This is our community and fan environment
 - These are our strengths

How can we leverage the strengths in view of any obstacles or disadvantages?

BTW, Bob is correct. Many former Stanford athletes pushed for and are responsible for moving toward NILs.
