Apropos of nothing, I was in Branner with Jerry Yang in the fall of 1986. I only spoke with him once or twice but I recall him being a nice down-to-earth guy.
Management consulting was the hot career at the time. Smart ambitious people wanted to work for Bain or McKinsey.
