I guess I should have said that I have seen next to nothing of substance from Stanford's official social media channels about developments in fall camp. They are doing little to generate buzz for the season. Really appreciate learning about Ben Parker's interviews. It's great to hear from the athletes and coaches directly.
Yes, you're right about that. It's been pretty pathetic by major program standards. As just one example, the college football season starts in two days and Stanford's season starts in eight days and it appears we still don't have an updated, accurate official roster. What I will give Taylor/SID credit for is allowing all of these post practice interviews. That's kind of a bare minimum, but there appear to be no limitations on players or coaches to interview. But practices are still closed aside from small media windows.
I do have some sympathy for anybody responsible for marketing Stanford football. Only so much blood you can squeeze out of a turnip. We simply don't have very many fans or that many people who care about us. ESPN's lack of coverage for us and the official Stanford efforts getting so little traction aren't due to bias or incompetence (or at least not largely so) but because the demand signal is so low.
