Zach Hoffpauir had significant CTE upon autopsy.

It didn't directly kill Hoffpauir, who died of a fentanyl overdose, but he was clearly affected by it, and may have been self-medicating to manage symptoms (he took the fentanyl-laced Percocet that killed him to help him sleep).
Stanley Wilson Jr. thought he had CTE

"Wilson Jr. dealt with a lot of traumatic head injuries as a result of his football career, according to the lawsuit, and his family says that he showed a lot of symptoms of the traumatic brain degeneration CTE, which many say could account for the erratic behavior and the trouble he’d repeatedly get into."
Of course, mental illness is common, so his erratic behavior and mental illness may or may not have been due to CTE. His cause of death on autopsy was listed as a venous thromboembolism, but there was no comment about his brain that I could find.
