The reason there is so much Stanford and Cal on in the Bay Area is because that's all the Bay Area feed does. I assume the LA feed does the two traitors.
ACCN doesn't appear to have localized feeds. A lot of matches that are not on ACCN are carried on ACCNX or ESPN+. ACCNX is free at ESPN site if you already have access to ACCN. ESPN+ is $10/mo.
Thanks the suggestions, will check into as we get towards that time.
Living in SoCal I was getting PAC 12 network from Spectrum cable in my package. However, it was the "national" PAC feed and hardly ever Stanford on there. I subscribed to Sling streaming and got all the specific area PAC-12 feeds, and so there could select PAC-12 Bay Area feed to see the Stanford sports. I see that the ACC Network is available in Spectrum I think was in a $7 / month package option along with other channels. But I presume (maybe wrongly) that this would be like the PAC 12 national and only be whatever the folks in ACC chose to focus on for their main feed, meaning hardly ever Stanford. So I'll be interested to see where we will be able to get the specific ACC equivalent of PAC-12 Bay Area, assuming such will exist.
Once I left DirecTV for Dish and the Pac-12 I was a happy camper. Loads of Stanford events were on the Pac-12 National feed throughout a week. I still can't believe I waited a few years believing that maybe DirecTV would eventually care about our conference with its rather limited fan interest even in the Pac-12 footprint.
For sports not on the Pac-12 nets, Stanford would often live stream Stanford home events for other sports. My recollection was other Pac-12 schools were far less likely to stream sports, so I appreciate how easy it has been to watch Stanford events for something close to free.
In the ACC, I think many of those types of Pac-12 features will become fee based. Fees to ESPN+ and/or fees to the ACC. Given the ACC's desire for incremental revenue to cover travel costs, I can only imagine they will charge higher fees soon.
And certainly no local sub-networks.
