Good to do this in a separate post anyway, because Katherine Hui deserves her flowers, but as an unseeded wildcard, she bulldozed through the draw to win the U.S. Open girls' title while nearby, Coco Gauff won the women's title. She didn't drop a set all tournament, and the final was the closest match she played, a 6-4, 6-4 win.

Of note, she beat four of the tournament's top 10 seeds on her way to the title, including #2 Lucciana Perez Alarcon in the Round of 32, 6-4, 6-0. Perez Alarcon is the #3 ranked newcomer, headed to Texas A&M, so this may not be the last time they play.
