I imagine he enrolled or somehow started in some way at Northwestern but yeah that timeline makes him more akin to a true freshman (which of course he is) than a transfer. Stanford lists him as a transfer and lists Northwestern as his last school. You are probably right the LOI plays a role. I just checked and Cal’s roster lists Justin-Williams-Thomas’ last school as Tennessee, not Stanford.
