Maybe that "enthusiasm" was previously unknown to mankind because it was illegal. I will say, when I did a deep dive into all things Turley-gate about a year go, it was disturbing to see how many former Stanford players from his era went on to get busted (often more than once) for PEDs.

It's also notable that Michigan is the longest Harbaugh has stayed in one place as a coach and that he never remained anywhere else for longer than three seasons...

Um, well, Harbaugh was at Stanford for four, from 2007 to 2010.

Amazing the disdain on this board for our last two coaches, one who resurrected the program, then the second the winningest coach in our history. For shame Cardboarders. For shame.

So if Harbaugh, say, suddenly tried to down a plane, we're still not entitled to have disdain for him? Is it just that you don't think these allegations are very bad?

I'm grateful to him for resurrecting our program, but that's not a lifetime get out of jail free card. By all accounts, his program was involved in a massive, coordinated cheating operation, and it just so happened to occur as Michigan rose to the very top echelons of college ball. And not dissimilarly, there's very persuasive circumstantial evidence that a lot of our "intellectual brutality" that he instituted was probably chemically enhanced.

Sorry, but I'm never going to apologize for having disdain for cheaters.

All I commented on was the disdain for our last two coaches that is so prevalent on this board. Nothing more. Thanks for solidifying my point (and trashing the players from 2007-2010 at the same time with "persuasive circumstantial evidence").
