A night game at WSU in November . . . It seems like there's a good chance of cold weather, rain, snow, or all of the above.
I used to have an informal goal of attending a Stanford game in each Pac-12 stadium. I've made it to 10 stadiums. Some of those were truly memorable games, such as the heart-stopping 3OT win at the L.A. Coliseum in 2011 and the comeback win in OT in Eugene in 2018. But Pullman is one of the two places that I never got around to attending a game (the other is Tucson). Every time I started thinking about making the trip to WSU, it seemed like the game was scheduled at night in the second half of the season, when the risk of bad weather is significant.
Now, with the demise of the Pac-12, I guess I'm probably never going to make it to Pullman. On the other hand, I already have a head start on visiting the ACC stadiums, as I made the trip for the Duke game in 2011. I'm looking forward to attending games in Charlottesville, Boston, and some of the other ACC cities.
