players not wearing their mouth guards?  It seems to be especially prevalent among WR's.  Not so much on Stanford but on other teams.  These guys have the mouth guard attached to the facemask but not in their mouth so its just flopping around the whole time.  It seems to be the "cool" thing to do.  Really not a good idea.  Mouth guards protect the mouth and can also prevent concussions.

In high school, I was blocking on one play and I'd forgotten to re-insert my mouth guard. The ref comes up to me and says "Next time I see that mouth guard dangling from your helmet during live action, I'm charging your team a timeout." I didn't forget it the rest of the year.
