I remember Plunkett-to-Vataha was the longest TD pass (96 yds) in our record books for quite a few years.  It was vs Wazzu, but this article says the game was played in...Spokane?  Was there no stadium in Pullman back in 1970?

WSU's wooden stadium burned down in 1970 so all home games in 1970 and 1971 were played in Spokane until the new stadium was built.  Since then, WSU did play occasional home games in Seattle and Spokane.  Between 2002 and 2014, WSU played a home game in Seattle almost every year. usually an early season non-conference game.  2002 is when the new Seahawks stadium opened and they were able to double the attendance they could get in Pullman.  During that time, they upgraded Martin Stadium and discontinued The Seattle Game.

WSU played a number of games in Spokane from 1950-83. 

My father attended the 1968 game, a 21-21 tie one week after a heartbreaking loss to USC.
