FIRE, the Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression released their rankings of free speech on college campuses. Out of 248 schools, Stanford came in at #207; Harvard came in last. Surprisingly Cal came in at #147.
Criteria included Openness (ability to have difficult discussions on campus), Tolerance of Liberal speakers, Tolerance of Conservative speakers, Admins support of free speech, Comfort expressing ideas (a students perception that they can share viewpoints without fear of reprisal), and a few others.
In general, pretty disappointing and some of the quotes that scroll across the page are disturbing.
