I think there is a middle ground possible here.
We can both be gracious and understanding of young 20-somethings making a transfer to try and gain a better and further opportunity elsewhere.
And wish them well in this.
But also possible to be a bit skeptical as well about the gushing accolades to their departed school posted to social media as they are leaving.
A modest dose of skepticism is healthy, because it reminds me to not necessarily believe with 100% naivety the entirety of every media post that might not even have been written by the athlete themselves.
And of course I always appreciate a finely spiced and judicially applied bit of sarcasm because God knows there's not enough humor in my day to day.
