Cool to see you guys don’t get it. These are kids making a decision that’s good for them. They happen to be good at football so they’re public facing. Could it be possible that they enjoyed their time but have a better opportunity? Could it be possible that they want to let the people at their previous school know that they were important to them?

These kids (KIDS!) aren’t going around beating people up or worse. They’re thanking and showing appreciation for the people and institutions who helped get them to this point. Why would you possible be annoyed by that? You’re coming off as grouchy, out of touch jerks. And more, who cares?? This is not an issue.

By your math, we shouldn’t be sending goodbye emails to coworkers when we leave for another job. Instead we should leave middle fingers fully extended, and slam the door on our way out.

Get the heck over it.
