I notice Scholarships in expenses of $31 mil.
Is any of this real cash expenditures outside the school? like, say, off-campus housing or meal plans?
Or some (or most?) of it moving it out of Stanford Athletics pocket and into Stanford Academics pocket?
(the pockets being simply on other sides of the same garment with Stanford printed prominently on the back)

Doing some back of the envelope math, cost of attendance is $80k. $31 million would provide ~400 scholarships which might be about right?
