It seems like this is significant enough to have its own thread as opposed to the Class of 25 thread.

Long time target and four-star quarterback Bear Bachmeier committed to Stanford this morning, and I think it confirms what I've been hoping -- Troy Taylor will be able to recruit elite quarterbacks. Neither Elijah Brown nor Bachmeier are five-star kids, so perhaps not elite by definition, but in two recruiting cycles Taylor has been able to get his targeted quarterback each time. 

And while people have been debating for a while about whether or not you should take a stud quarterback in consecutive years, I think the transfer portal has put that debate permanently to bed. You get who you can get when you can get him, and then worry later about how it all shakes out.

It helps his brother is on the team currently.  I'd like to see better recruiting at the other positions - especially in the trenches at OL and DL.  Have yet to see that.
