Yes, any win against the #2 team is a good win.  Stanford did it with only three hits.  In the top of the first Stanford scored two runs with no hits according to live stats.  Kern continues to search for hits this season although she is drawing a ton of walks which is helpful.

Stanford has a chance in any game with Canady pitching and Krouse is proving to be reliable against second tier teams.

The game was televised on the Longhorn Network.  I doubt there are any softball fans outside of Texas who subscribe to this network so it probably didn't have a big TV audience.

We can't rely on scoring two runs in an inning on a team like Texas with no hits.  We were fortunate. Every time the stat page would post the lineups it was hard to avoid seeing the brobdingnagian disparity between our hitting and theirs. Fortunately, we have Canady and a team with a bunch of real competitors coached by another.
