So I got fed up with pod brewing after reading an article about how damaging the spent plastic pods are for the environment.   I was browsing in Cost Plus World Market in Palm Springs and stumbled upon an AeroPress.  I bought it to use in our RV, but I like it so much that I now use it at home exclusively.   It's fast, easy to clean, and makes great coffee.  I'm still perfecting the technique, which puts the artisan in the cup.  ;D

The rubber seal on my Aeropress plunger finally wore out.  I was happy to find a replacement on Amazon.  Popped the old one off, pressed to new one on, and it's working as good as new.

BTW, I spent 21 days in Costa Rica in February.  Did a coffee plantation tour where I learned a lot about the process of making coffee.  Very informative.  Don't grind those beans until you're ready to brew.  The grounds start losing their flavor ini 12 minutes.  I discovered that really good coffee needs no creamer or sweetener.  Those are only used to mask bitter coffee.  Oh, and Starbucks uses Robusta coffee beans and over roasts them.  Robusta is such an inferior bean that it is illegal in Costa Rica to plant them.
