A 49er trivia question. Last season, the 49ers lost the 58th Super Bowl in overtime. The 59th Super Bowl will be played in Louisiana.

How many times has the Super Bowl loser come back the following year to win the Super Bowl? Bonus points for listing the teams...

I think Dallas and Miami did in the early days of the game.  Since then?  I’m not sure if anyone else has accomplished that feat.

Right...the Cowboys lost SB V, then beat the Miami Dolphins in SB VI...then Miami won the next two. Last was the 2017 Patriots lost SB LII and won SB LIII the next year.

Of interest...17 of the first 56 SB losers didn't make the playoffs the following season, and 11 of them (including the 2019 Niners) didn't reach a .500 record. All 11 have come since 1989 (Broncos).
