Certainly, her performances in games 2&3 confirmed that she should get the award, even for those that may have questioned her after game 1.  She showed that game 1 was the anomalous outing, not the regular season + game 2. 

To me, the fact that she did so well on day 2 and on day 3 was impressive. I would have thought game 1 showed they had solved her pitching and it was only going to get harder for her. But she added the inside pitch and maybe more change ups. Not too few strikeouts compared to others but less than she is used to.
