When Stanford was an OOC opponent it made a lot of sense for Eastern time zone schools to schedule 9AM Pacific type starts.
However, Stanford is a conference opponent now and the best thing to do, for the conference's overall TV ratings, will be to have Stanford and Cal play later in the day, even when playing in the Eastern time zone.
It would not be financially prudent to have a conference game at noon Eastern, featuring a team from a region where the citizens there have not really started their day yet. Better to put those games on the ACC network as late as possible, whether home or away.
I don't think Stanford or Cal will get every Eastern time zone game after 4PM Eastern, but to maximize the value of the ACC network's Saturday content, Stanford and Cal are likely to see more relatively later starts than when they were an OOC opponent.
