That's even worse if she was/is a catcher. No excuse for poor positioning and late tag. But ultimately it's on the chase and late throw IMO.
You and I have both seen better execution at Faber Field, LOL.

Again, it was a shame. Kanashiro should have run base runner back another step. Looked like runner on second had broken for third. 50%chance both runners are tagged out. Then, Mahler, our first or second fastest player receives the ball and figures she can tag out Texas runner. Unfortunately, the runner is Texas' fastest player and pulled away from Mahler in two steps, so Mahler tosses to Gall, who I'm sure had practiced all year to be the receiver in the run down play. Toss a little high, tag a 1/4 second late. Great game, though.
