2) Tiger Woods has been asked to captain the team and is considering it. If he turns it down, the reputed backup is Stewart Cink who has publicly stated that he's ready to be captain. Cink has played in five Ryder Cups and was a U. S. Vice Captain in Rome.

Looks like Tiger turned down the Ryder Cup captaincy and it will be Keegan Bradley, not Stuart Cink. Curious choice. Has a feel of a response to the five point loss in the last Ryder Cup to me. 38-year old Bradley is 4-3-0 in the Ryder Cup. He's the youngest captain in 62 years, since Arnold Palmer was player/captain in 1963.

Plan B candidates (they really wanted Tiger) included last year's vice-captains, all 50+ year olds, Stuart Cink, Couples, Davis Love III. Hopefully Bradley shakes it up, as described in this great article in the Athletic/NYT: https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/5624605...p-captain/
