Nope. Check last season's stats of the two returning pitchers. Stanford will not be "very good" unless they can score at least a dozen runs every game.
Our pitching should be decent at worst, good at best, but we simply have to become a better hitting team. Compare our hitting averages against any of the other top teams and you can see we won due to pitching first and foremost. We probably will only have good pitching this next season which means we need much better hitting and solid fielding. I am sure Coach Allister is well aware of what kind of team she needs to field next year, the question remaining is whether the talent is there to field that kind of team. Consider Texas had a team batting average of .370. They had three players averaging over .400. Next up was Oklahoma with a team batting average of .362. I can live with our pitching, but we absolutely have to have better hitting.
