My X-factor last year for Stanford, the freshman class, and pitching rotation was Alyssa Houston: it appears I was one year too early,
but Stanford is going to have to depend pretty heavily on both Alyssa and Zoe, albeit in a (much) easier conference to compete
in softball.
I think our great lineup (yes, the lineup by the end of year was *great*, even if it needed time to develop and show that) powers us to another NCAA berth, but anything beyond a regional berth would be a cherry on top for next year.
In addition to not having NiJaree, Aly etc., we also have a new pitching coach who will be in her only second season in a Power conference as a pitching coach.
