I think our great lineup (yes, the lineup by the end of year was *great*, even if it needed time to develop and show that) powers us to another NCAA berth, but anything beyond a regional berth would be a cherry on top for next year.
In addition to not having NiJaree, Aly etc., we also have a new pitching coach who will be in her only second season in a Power conference as a pitching coach.
I would assume that Allister would not have brought her in if she was not confident she can coach and coach well.
While the pitching may not be up to Canady standards, it should be OK. OK pitching maybe sufficient if we can hit and play defense. I don't see this as a season where we can play for a 1 or 2 run lead and hold on. We shall see how it all plays out
