Thanks for sharing. I've been refraining from posting to this OT thread because I live in SF and work blocks from the Tenderloin, so maybe I'm too close, physically and emotionally.
I'll keep it at this: SF takes up a lot of rent free space in certain people's heads, and the fact that the demand for $3k one bedroom apartments continues to persist despite that probably says all that needs to be said about its overall balance of vices and virtues.
Very glad he is doing so well, and may make a full and rapid recovery.
And I'll close with this: I'm quite proud and happy to call SF home.
