A soft start to the fall season today as #77 Valencia Xu plays in the Battle in the Bay at the California Tennis Club in San Francisco. She's one of the 5-8 seeds, and she gets started at 5pm today against TCU's Raquel Caballero Chica, who played from 4-6 singles last year for the Horned Frogs. The other seeds in the tournament are (1) Ange Oby Kajuru (#5, Okla State); (2) Anastasiia Lopata (#13, UGA); (3) Amelia Honer (#14, UCSB); (4) Anastasiya Komar (#11, Okla State); (5) Emma Charney (#15, USC); (5) Sofia Rojas (#106, UGA); and (5) Jade Otway (NR, TCU).
