Another recruiting story.  I bought several cars from a dealership on the the Peninsula because I was loyal to one salesperson.  He treated me well and I bought cars from him.  Good relationship.

His son was a 4 star linebacker who committed to UCLA, if I remember correctly.  He said that the family had several in-home visits from prominent football coaches.  When the coaches were asked if they wanted something to drink, most of them said, "Water is fine or a soft drink."  Most did not smoke, but if they did, they asked first if it was OK.

Jack Elway visited.  Before anybody could ask, he asked for a Vodka Tonic and lit up a Pall Mall.

Mom was not impressed.
