I have heard many minority alumni voice this complaint recently…”now that it’s finally *our* time to reap the benefits of legacy admissions, you want to take it away?!?!”
I sympathize with them.
N.B. I had previously read that legacies were admitted at about twice the rate of non-legacies. So instead of 4%, it would be 8%. Even then, 9 of 10 legacy parents are left unhappy.
