I just learned this morning that Stanford will be only the 2nd team from California to play at Clemson - not all that surprising.  Who was the first?  And for bonus points, who was their coach?

When was the last time Clemson played in California?

My first thought was - never.  But Levi's stadium hosted the national championship game a few years ago in the midst of Clemson's glory days, so I'm thinking that's the answer.
