Without getting into who is relegated when (cough....Stanford....so don't read much into the order of teams), something like this; The number of FBS schools is not evenly divisible by 8, so it looks like we're going to be a couple of flowers short and you boys will have to..... Ten above the line and playoff eligible through round robin selection and six below trying to replace the teams 9 and 10, or something like that. Pure geographical balance is impossible, so accommodations are made....like getting the Big 8 back together more or less. Alabama and Tennessee have to be in the same conference, etc. Some will like; some will hate. It takes a czar to make it happen. Like a professional league commissioner. The Football Commissar.
