Concert that was way more fun that expected:  I randomly walked by the New Varsity in the late 80s and heard Jazz music coming from the venues courtyard.  My date (and later wife) dropped in to listen for a bit and ended up replacing our plans with this impromptu concert.  Turns out it was Tuck and Patty playing songs that would populate their debut album.  They aren't a big group now and certainly weren't a big group back then but they were soulful, Jazzy, and romantic while seeming to thoroughly enjoy playing to an audience that was at most 40 people standing or sitting on folding chairs on late summer night in Palo Alto.  (I think the late guitarist Michael Hedges also played that night.)

Supposedly, that was the story behind Dire Straits' "Sultans of Swing", which depicts a real event. Mark Knoffler really was walking through South London in the rain and did hear a band playing jazzy tunes.

Someone mentioned there will be concerts at Stanford Stadium. 

Here is the first one I’m aware of, it’s a big one, Coldplay May 31, 2025.

Does anyone know if it is possible to get tickets through Stanford, or are we all stuck with Ticketmaster/LiveNation?
