A few rounds gone, and we're into the semifinals, with three of our four in the main draw still kicking.

* Ma beat Cal's Mao Mushika 6-3, 6-3 to book her spot in the semifinals against UW's Reece Carter;
* The other semifinal will be an all-Stanford affair, as Glozman pasted Cal's Lan Mi 6-0, 6-1 in the R16 and then got past WSU's Eva Alvarez Sande 6-3, 7-5 (who was coming off a 6-3, 6-3 upset over 2nd-seeded Jessica Alsola of Cal) in the QFs. She'll play 5th-seeded Blokhina, as she beat Cal's Sophie Hernandez 7-6, 6-3 in the R16 before breezing past 3rd-seeded Alexia Jacobs of UW 6-3, 6-0. 
* Both matches are tomorrow at 11am.

As a reminder, the finalists qualify for the NCAA singles championship. So, there's a little extra juice in these semifinal matchups, especially Blokhina-Glozman, as Glozman has already punched her ticket. If Blokhina wins, they both go to NCAAs, but if Glozman wins, then that extra spot will basically be converted into a wild card that goes to the highest-ranked player who hasn't already qualified when NCAAs come around later this fall. 

If Ma wins, you wonder if they'll just pack it up and finish the singles tournament on our home courts at our leisure. 

Both Stanford doubles teams are still alive, too. 4th-seeded Xu/Blokhina take on 7th-seeded Murphy/Alvarez Sande (WSU) tomorrow at 9:00am and 3rd-seeded Ma/Glozman take on Abouelsaad/Markov (WSU) at the same time in the doubles quarters. Semis for the winners will be at 2pm. 

So, it looks to be a potentially long day for our remaining players. Doubles at 9am, singles at 11am, doubles again at 2pm, and the singles final TBD.
