I had some good conversations with folks on campus this weekend including with a friend who used to work in the AD. He said that the tennis reconstruction work was initiated without consultation with or approval of either Dick Gould or Tad Taube or the Taube Family. That seems like a major stakeholder management error. You don't even tell the guy whose name is on the stadium that you are going to tear it down? If true, this is another demerit for Muir.

The space that used to be the tennis stadium is just a big flat fenced-off rectangle of dirt and concrete dust right now. Across Campus Drive is a frame for what looks like indoor courts. Nothing looks remotely close to being finished. Given that no concrete is yet poured and the rainy season is almost upon us, completion could be closer to December 2025 than December 2024.

Very hard to believe but I also wonder if anyone is really in charge of the AD.
