And best of success to the Army Black Knights (11-1) against Marshall's Thundering Herd (10-3) in the Independence Bowl on December 28 in Shreveport.
#19 Army is the AAC's champion, Marshall is the Sun Belt Conference champion. It's the first time two conference champions have met each other in the Independence Bowl since the inaugural Independence Bowl in 1976. Should be a great game.
Incidentally, Army is 4-1 in bowl games under the current coach and Marshall is 1-4 in their last five bowl games. Marshall has won seven straight but their head coach resigned for the So. Mississippi job and the interim coach will coach through the bowl game. Opening line is Army by 7.5.
