Yes but Stanford might have been more attractive to the B1G if a proactive AD had stepped in sooner when it became obvious that football was declining.

It's hard to imagine Stanford wouldn't have gotten (or been able to negotiate) a B1G invite if the Pac-12 had collapsed in 2018 instead of 2023.

The Big 10 is having indigestion with 18 teams. I don't see any way that FOX would go for 20. And the weather would be less attractive for fall and spring sports.
