It is too soon to make sweeping predictions on the mid-term future of college football until the impact of the House settlement is felt.  There is also the possibility of Federal legislation, however unlikely.

And what happens if the players (student-athletes) protest the excessive travel they are now experiencing and request/demand new conferences based on geography?  Maybe football is exempt but not the other sports.
