Stanford softball with perhaps its most dominant performance of the season with a 10-0 dismantling of Notre Dame in the minimum of 5 innings. The game was so lopsided that it was over before Notre Dame even recorded the first out of the game (6-0 at that point).

I wonder if our departed pitching star is having second thoughts about her decision.  The jump in hitting over last year is amazing. Use of the 3 pitchers is also interesting.

Amen! Allister and Walker are two of our best coaches and probably two of the best coaches in their sports anywhere.  Allister took over a program circling the drain and going nowhere.  A few years later she is playing in the NCAA Championships.
Athletes love to play on teams that win and contest for championships.  In a sport where the NIL money is small, I would think Stanford would be a preferred destination if you can get in.  
The stat improvement is mind boggling.  Last year the team it .273, this year it is hitting 370, that is across the board.  We have 4 or 5 players hitting over .400 and have 42 homeruns and last year we hit we hit 56 for the season and had just two players hitting over .300.  I imagine no other team can match those improvements.


Can the coaches please recognize Coach Allister with National Coach of the Year this year if the team continues on this trajectory? A hallmark of the Allister era has been teams consistently overachieving expectations, but it is unreal that this team is legitimately in contention for a top 8 seed (and would be a lock top 16 seed) if the season ended today.
