I don’t get the Texas A&M reference

I could be totally wrong and missing the point as well, but I have a feeling the reference is meant to be toward Texas Tech -- the team whom Canady left us for.

No, you got it.  My apologies for not making my reference clearer. I find Canady's statement that it wasn't all about the money but a chance to be a hitter a little self serving.  The fact is a million dollars is a million dollars and to get paid that to pitch a softball would be very hard to turn down for almost anyone that age.  So I would like us to make the series and be matched up with her team and that beat them with her pitching. Yes, a childish viewpoint but you have to admit the way the season is going it may well happen and tickets might be hard to get.
