Hi,
(1) Again, many on this board might not follow SEC Football, as much as I do, so I thought I would share, a YouTube interview series, I thought was very interesting between Greg McElroy (ex Alabama National Champion QB) and Steve Spurrier, the 1966 Heis-man Trophy Winner, 6 Time SEC champ !, 1 Time National Champ !
For anyone, who doesn't know, Steve Spurrier, is an Icon of CollegeFootball, and I would go so far as to say an 'Icon of Sports in General, and especially College Sports' !
(2) Here is the 1st Part of a series of YouTube Interviews between Greg McElroy and 'Coach Steve Spurrier (The Ole Ball Coach)' where he talks about 'What he looks for in a QB, and why he always thought it was good to be playing 2 QBs each season, keeping both feeling like they were 'appreciated, involved & getting opportunities':

(3) Here is the Full Interview, where the Interview & Coach Spurrier, cover everything ranging from & to:
•QBs
•The need for Coaches & ADs to 'be Charismatic' to 'Sell the Program to Recruits & Transfers' & 'To Generate Excitement among Alums and Donors'
•Todays State of CFB, with NIL and Transfer Portal
etc
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OEGUff4t...M4&index=4
(4) Some may have heard me say Stanford needs to hire Head Football Coaches & Athletic Directors who have 'Charisma' ...to 'Energize what at times can be sometimes be a 'Moribund, Apathetic, College Sports environment'
It would have been nice if Stanford would or had approached Coach Spurrier to 'work at Stanford, as a Head Football Coach or AD, cause literally this man 'HAS DONE IT ALL' when it comes to College Football:
Among other things:
• He Coached at Duke
• He Coached at Georgia Tech
• He Coached at the Univ of South Carolina
• As HeadFootballCoach at U of Florida, when he was starting out at a Recruiting Deficit (compared to the other SEC powerhouses) He 'came up with a totally different style of Football, at U of Florida, that worked with the Players he could recruit at that time, Smart QBs & WRs, & Smaller, More Nimbler OLineman when the rest of the SEC had him beat as far a Recruiting Big OLines and DLines ...then after he started Winning at UF, he was able to 'get into the living rooms of the more 4 & 5 star Lineman and DLinemen
• He Coached in the USFL
• He Played and Coached in the NFL
(5) It would have been nice (maybe even now) for Stanford to bring in Coach Spurrier as 'an Advisor AD' to 'Advise for our Football & Athletic Department', in my opinion.
