I don’t watch a lot of golf. But I do sometimes watch the majors. And there is no better theater in sports than a close Masters final nine.  An incredible day for Rory. More ups and downs than a helter skelter. In the end, he got that 2000 pound gorilla off his back. Never seen a final winning round quite like it. Several unbelievable shots. Both unbelievably good and unbelievably bad. One of the most gripping sporting I’ve ever watched. 

Somewhere, Terry McGrath was smiling.

I would add a salute to Justin Rose, a class act who tallied ten birdies, including six on the final nine, in an effort to overtake McIlroy.  Hopefully, he will be putting on the green jacket before his career is over.
